“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind.” Luke 10:27
To love the Lord with everything you have. To give Him all that you are, your mind, your heart, your soul, your strength. That is asking a lot and He knows that. We are used to keeping all to ourselves and giving in a way that benefits us, or just enough to not get hurt. If we do give our hearts to others and get hurt, we are less likely and willing to give all again. But God the Father asks for our all. For everything that we are, He knows that we fall short and that we will disappoint Him and fail Him, we are human after all. But He wants all that we are anyway.
God loves us with all His heart, soul, mind, and strength. He asks that we love Him the same. Where we fail, He does not. Where we fall, He stands tall. So, no matter what, He is with us through all things. He teaches us through His Word how to follow Him and how to love Him and love like Him. He gives instructions in His Word about how to act and respond in ways that show His love that show He is faithful. We learn through reading His Word, taking it to heart, having faith in what He says, and then acting on that faith.
When we read and meditate on His Word, we learn to love Him. When we pray and meditate on the Lords Word, we take it to heart. When we listen to His Spirit and follow Him, our souls are at peace with Him. When we do as He asks, we do so with all our hearts and strength. 🙂
