I hope y’alls first week of February was good. I have a bit to share with y’all about my week. First being that my book is being edited! I’m so excited and went looking for a publisher right away and I found one called Christian Faith Publishing. I don’t know if I’m going to use them or not yet. The Publishing Company that I originally wanted to use is more well known then I thought. You may have heard of them Bethany Publishing. Because of that, they don’t accept manuscripts unless a solicitor sends them in. I was quite bummed out when I read that. I would like to find a publishing company that will be willing to sell my book for me. I would like to be paid someday for my writing. But maybe that isn’t the way I’m supposed to go about it. I’m going to look up more publishing houses and pray about what one is the one the Lord wants me to go with.
Other than having my book edited I have also started on a second story. It has the same characters from ~The Fairies Quest~ but with a different main character. I feel like the Lord wants me to write about Jericho, Nebuchadnezzar, and kings of the Bible. I’m not really sure how it will turn out, but I did start it and hope to write what the Lord wants written. I’m excited to see where it goes. 🙂
Also, this past week and continuing, I have been going through my stuff. Oh, my goodness! do I have a lot of stuff. I just really started going through what would be labeled ‘Kids Stuff’. I went through stuffed animals yesterday and ended up with a foggy brain and a start of a headache. I had two buckets and a basket to sort through. Thankfully my Mama help me see that I don’t always have to keep something just because I’m afraid to hurt someone by getting rid of it. That is why I hold on to so much. I think about the people who have given this stuff to me and just can’t seem to let go because I don’t want to hurt them. In the end I don’t have as big of an attachment to some of the things as I thought I did. It was really just the person who gave me the gift instead. Yeah, it can be exhausting. lol. But freeing to let go of all this extra stuff.
Here are two pictures of Sunny wearing a doll shawl that my Mimi made me. 🙂
Ok, here’s a little update on my Little Niece. She is starting to act like a two-year-old for sure. She is stubborn and cute all at the same time. lol. She wants her way and will let you know, and has really started saying ‘No.’ 🙂 Also, she has started matching colors together. When we color, she picks out a color for herself then looks for the same color for the one coloring with her. She still loves brown, black, and grey. But has started to go towards pink and purple a little bit more than before. But grey was the marker she wanted to use most Saturday.
She has also started to sing along with us when we sing. She knows the words and tries really hard to sing along. I love listening to her sing ‘Twinkle-Twinkle Little Star’ or “The B-I-B-L-E’. Her Mama has been singing the ABCs with her and she really loves to sing them with her. I don’t know really what she is saying when she gets to ‘L, M, N, O, P’ it kind of sounds like she’s saying “ME!” but I’m not positive on that. lol. Otherwise, she is growing fast, learning fast, and is full of funny looks she likes to give us when we do goofy things. Here are some pictures!
Lastly before I go, I know that this is random, but our little town now has a consignment shop! My Mama and I want to it yesterday and I ended up buying a new bedside table and a felt basket to hold yarn. The store used to be a hardware shop now it is a really cool consignment place. I had fun walking around and really would love to go back soon. Because they just reopened here in our town, lots of people have been shopping there since Thursday, meaning they have to restock quickly enough that there is always something new. If they were open today and I walked into the shop I probably would find things that I didn’t see yesterday. I hope it stays like that and new things come in daily. I just love to see all the cool stuff like the old spinning wheel and metal toys. 🙂 Alright,
