Happy Thanksgiving Week! Wow it’s already the week of Thanksgiving and Christmas is right around the corner. It’s always hard to believe how fast this time of year comes. With it comes the stress of the season that likes to drown out the reason for the season in the first place. I know that the stress of wanting to get things done has for me.
Some of the things that have been taking over my mind is Christmas presents. I know what I want to get for some people but not for all. I have a good amount I think. But I’m finding that one of the things that is getting me is that I need to have so presents ready early December. It wouldn’t be a problem but the ones that I need gifts for I don’t know what to get. That is one of the dilemma’s that I have right know. The other is I know what I want to get just not how to get it. This happens very year! 🙂 Oh well. It will work out. I don’t know why I stress about things like this in the first place.
One of the other things that has me a bit overwhelmed is all the crocheting that I need to get done. I have my Little Nieces gift, my Friend E’s Mama’s gift, my Mimi’s order, and a order for a Patchwork Monkey from the Farm Stand. I’m quiet a bit stress that I won’t get it all done. But once I do I’ll make sure to take pictures to share with y’all. It’s always fun to see the finished product that the end. I love seeing the animals come to life as I crochet them. Patchwork animals can be really cute if I pick the right colors. Sometimes I don’t feel like I have picked the colors that go best together and ended disappointed. But this time know what colors the costumer wants so that’s helpful. 🙂 As for my Little Niece she is getting a Patchwork Puppy, colors picked out by her Grandmommy.
Something that I’m am looking forward to doing this week and next though is making Christmas decorations. Know that we have our colors sorted and Pinterest ideas saved. lol. I’m looking forward to a day of crafting with my Mama. Craft supplies are going to be everywhere! When I craft that always happens and thankfully my Mama is used to it. I hope to make little Christmas trees, ornaments, stars, pompom garland, and fun sparkly candles.
Here are a few random photos. The first one is of the colors we’re going to decorate with this year. The middle photos are of the gingerbread spice ornaments that I made for the Farm Stand. The last one is of my Albus last night.
But even with all of that this week is Thanksgiving week! That means food, food, and more food come Thursday. Not that, that’s what Thanksgiving is about but that is what it has become. One of the things that I love about Thanksgiving is the Thankful craft I do each year. Last year it was a scrapbook page that we covered in cut out pumpkins, leaves, and acorns. Each one had something that we were thankful for written on it and in the center a family picture taken that day in the center. We take family pictures with the selfie stick that my Mimi gave us. So it’s pretty funny trying to get us all in the photo. 🙂
This year I’m not sure what to do. We have done hand turkeys, paper chains, a decorative scene of birds and trees, and one year Thanksgiving bingo. But this year I’m unsure what to do. I want something new and fun. Whatever I end up deciding on I’ll tell you about next Monday.
The last thing that has gotten me a bit overwhelm is school. This is the last day! My goodness didn’t I just start?! It feels that way. I told my Mama that is was the last week and she looked at me and said ‘really? It feels like you just started’. We are of the same mind Mama. But anyway with the end of school it makes me want to really finish the story that I am writing. But I’m having some trouble because I don’t like some of the changes that I have made. I feel that the stray from the point. I know that it needs more in certain parts and less in others. It’s just hard figuring out where. I want to finish it though so I can have a editor look at it and help me get it ready to be published. I want it done before the new year starts. So that means I have till the clock strikes twelve on December 31st. lol. 🙂
Alright one last thing before I go for the day. I promised a update on my Little Niece last week so here it is. She is doing great. Her teeth are coming in big time and molars and coming through. So she’s teething quite a bit right know. She is also talking, talking, talking. It isn’t always clear what she is trying to say but she has a lot to say. Some new words that she is starting to say are: sunshine, Happy, thumb, chin, Santa, a clear MOO, BAA BAA, Yes, and And. She just started real sentences this last week. Last night my brother and his family where here and she was talking and said ‘Dada and Mama.’ My Little Niece is growing up to fast!
She is also singing a lot. She can hold a tone pretty well for her age too. When she sings she has to dance also. It’s really cute to see. She will wiggle her hips and wave her arms, sometimes bending down and acting out the song she’s singing. You got to love her. 🙂
Here’s some pictures of my Little Niece! Also her new bed. She out grow her mini crib that we had so now she has a full size one that turns into a toddler bed then a twin. 🙂
Alright well that is all for know,
