~OCC, Crafting, And Christmas~

Hey Everyone,

Happy Nation Collection Week! OCC, crafting, and Christmas presents have filled up my mind last week and still is.

OCC’s National Collection Week started today! My Mama and I are just finishing filling our boxes this week. My friends and I finished filling our shoeboxes on Sunday. Our dining room right now looks like a collection center. Shoeboxes are stacked on the dinning table and my Mama’s and my unfinished boxes are waiting to be filled. Extra stuff that I have gathered during the year are laying on fold up tables with buckets underneath. The cats are loving it! πŸ™‚

I have more that I can say about it but I’ll leave that for Thursdays OCC post.

This is the card my friend D made for the boxes. It was changed to say Merry Christmas!

Ok so last week and this week I’m working on stuff for the Farm Stand. People really loved the Cinnamon Pumpkins and I was asked to make something for Christmas. So I took the pumpkin recipe and changed the spices to have ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon, and cloves making them smell of gingerbread.

Afterwards I rolled out the mix and cut out gingerbread men, stars, trees, snowflakes, snowmen, candy canes, and stockings. With the leftover mix I tried making big beads to string up but they cracked on the sides. So I’m unsure if I should try and sell them or not.

After cutting our the designs that I added holes to the tops so that when done drying they can be made into ornaments. I have stared decorating the first batch but haven’t started the second yet. I have glitter glue and fabric paint that works wonderfully for decorating.

I also am making dishcloths and flowers for headbands. So busy crafting! I am also making my Little Nieces Christmas present. Lots of crocheting. My hands are starting to hurt. πŸ™‚

Here is some pictures of the gingerbread ornament making and two yarn Christmas trees!

Can you believe that Thanksgiving and Christmas are coming up so quickly! I know that I can’t. They always seem to sneak up on me. But this year it came faster then usual.

I’m used to starting Christmas shopping in October when craft shows for me really start. But this year I started at the beginning of November. At first I was finding it a little stressful having not started Christmas shopping till now. I shouldn’t have through because I have been finding gifts for friends and family a lot easier than I thought. πŸ™‚ Just today I found my brothers and my Little Nieces Mama gift and was very excited!

I already have my Dad’s and the started of my Friends Christmas gifts started.

But also with the Thanksgiving and Christmas season just around the corner decorating for them also comes. This year we want to decorate a little different than we usually do. I really want to do jewel tones and vintage cards printed off of Pinterest. I already started making little Christmas trees for around the house. We haven’t started decorating just yet but have been getting ready too. We generally like to wait till after Thanksgiving but we may put up my Grandmas tree before Thanksgiving this year. But when we do decorate I’m sure it will look beautiful when it’s done. πŸ™‚

I know this is a short post but here are some pictures from last week for y’all! There are pictures of my Little Niece and my Mama, my Little Nieces furry friend Luna, too my cat Albus and chicken Gigi. πŸ™‚

My cat Albus was cold so I covered him with my blanket. lol. Sorry I didn’t post anything about my Little Niece this week. I will post about her next week! But she is doing well!

~Till Tomorrow~
