Wow it’s already September! It is always hard to believe how fast the months go by!
Ok today I have this months gift list and theme for y’all. 🙂 This month is Games! Think Puzzles, Etch-A-Sketch, Small board games, Card games, and extra.
Now a days there are so many small games out there. We just seem to want things small and portable now. So you may not have as hard of a time as you may think. 🙂 I haven’t been to the store five-below in a while but they used to have all sorts of games like a really small Jenga. I used to have lots of fun looking at all the games that they had next to all the craft supplies. So have fun looking for shopping! Just think about what you really like to play or what you may like to try if you haven’t. Don’t over think it just enjoy the time. 🙂
Here are some of the games that I like to put in the boxes and some that I just thought of:
- Small Jenga’s
- Connect Four
- Small Puzzles
- Go Fish
- Little bowling games
- All sorts of little board games like hungry hippo to Chess or checkers
I hope these ideas help you when you go shopping. I know that lists help me with really everything. I love lists. I had help with this one from my Mama. She’s really good at thinking of things to put in boxes for the older kids. If you have any ideas that I haven’t mentioned please feel free to share. I love hearing from y’all!
Ok so the theme for the month is simple, it’s Fall! What better theme then this one when all the fall stuff is out. When I think of fall I think of colors first like orange, yellow, brown, and red. I also think of squirrels, pumpkins, cute scarecrows, and fall tea parties that my Mama and I have every year. What are some things that you think of when fall comes to mind? What ideas come to mind for the shoeboxes.
For me when buying for the boxes with this theme I would just look for the things that really bring a happy feeling. Like fun shirts, happy notebooks, warm socks, plaid things, things with pumpkins and leaves on them, or if you like to send scented soaps ones that smell of cinnamon. There are really so many options so have fun with it! And remember don’t over think it, that just makes room for confusion and frustration.
