Happy Good Friday!!!
Are you looking forward to Easter this Sunday? I am!
I don’t think we have anything planned for Easter this year. But I’m sure we will think of something to do. We always seem to.
So this we had a little COVID scare, for some of us at least. I scare easily. My Mama didn’t believe it was COVID my brother thought it was and I just didn’t like the thought of being sick or the ones I love being sick. So my Dad had chills and was achy. He just couldn’t get warm. So yesterday or Wednesday I can’t remember he had a fever but that may have been from all the blankets he was under. Because the doctors said he didn’t have COVID or the regular flu. Poor Daddy just wore himself out from doing so much it turns out. But I’m very happy it wasn’t anything else. 🙂 He is slowly getting better, just needed a lot of rest. Very thankful to the Lord for His healing!
Also I have been working on our garden lately. I have been collecting sticks and pinecones in the yard this week. I am going to use the little wood chipper that we have to make mulch for the garden. We also have big chunks of asphalt in our back field from the last owners old tennis court. We tried tilling where we have the garden but just kept getting asphalt. I would like to take those pieces and paint them and put them around the fence of the garden to keep some of the animals out.
So a friend and her family at the time were trying out a gardening technique called Back To Eden gardening. I looked it up and fell in love with it and am really trying to do that in our garden. But it calls for two to three inches of wood chips on the ground after compost. So little parts of the garden at a time will be done in the Back To Eden way. Starting with the back corner. 🙂
Today before I went outside to work on the garden my little Niece was upstairs and she took her first steps today! She did two steps then kept trying till she got to doing five steps without falling! We are so excited that is really all that we can talk about today. Just yesterday she was shuffling her feet and bending her knees and standing up without holding onto anything. Then out of the blue she just starts walking with out prompting. It was so exciting when she walked to me and gave me a hug. She is so sweet!
Ok so I have pictures to share with y’all today. The first ones are of Sunny and Albus, it was their birthday on the 30th. So I put them in their birthday hats and took pictures. Albus is two already it is hard to believe that my baby kitty is two. He didn’t not want his picture taken, but Sunny is so used to it he posed for me. He turn eleven. I also have pictures of my little Niece as always. 🙂
The second picture looks like Albus is in a chokehold but he really is just leaning into my Mamas hand. Sunny is happy to have is picture taken though.
My sweet little Niece! She loves being outside.
