~OCC, Gardening, And Good Books~

Hey Everyone,

I hope your week has been going well. Mine has been going well for me. I feel very accomplished and am excited to see my friends tomorrow!

So tomorrow my friends are coming over and we will be making no sew fabric dolls. This particular no sew doll I haven’t tried before so I hope they turn out. I have made the dolls that you cut the fabric into strips and put them together. But this doll is different you cut out squares and rectangles of fabric instead. I have a couple of pictures that will show you what we will be making tomorrow. Here they are.:)

The last pictures is a little like what I have made before. But the first picture is what we are going to try tomorrow.

I hope to make muffins tonight for us to have while we craft. I’m planing on making blueberry. I just hope that the dolls look like dolls when we are done.

We are going to get buckets to put each age in so that way we don’t have to separate the stuff by age before packing the shoeboxes. That should hopefully make it easier come packing time. 🙂

We will talk about what else we want to make through the year tomorrow as well.

Otherwise what else have I been up to this week. I have been working on the garden with my Mama and we started weeding the compost and the back corner. I didn’t work on the garden last year like I hoped too. So it needs a lot of TLC. Weeds are everywhere and the fenceposts are tilting from all the rain we have been having. I’m not really sure what to do about that. I will have to ask my Dad his opinion he will most likely know what to do.

We have one cedar garden box that my Dad built from trees in the back woods. It looks really cool! I hope to fill it with dirt from the compost. But that will take I while so we will have to see what we end up actually doing. Once it’s filled I would love to plant squash, tomatoes, and green peppers. What are some plants that y’all suggest? Any that are your favorite that you plant every year?

I also have started reading Switch On Your Brain by Dr. Caroline Leaf. I highly recommend it. She has a lot about how our choices effect our everyday. She talks about how this world talks about our genes effecting almost everything we do including that they control our choices and how that is not true. So I find her book fascinating. I hope to read her other books after I’m done with this one. The other one that I have right know is called Think And Eat Yourself Smart. I will definitely be reading that one next. 🙂

Sorry that I don’t have more to share with you this week. But I do have pictures of my little Niece to share with you before I go. 🙂

I hope y’all have a good weekend!

~Till Monday~
