It is already time for the May gift list from Samaritans Purse. This month is hygiene products from soap and washcloths to hairbrush and combs. When I pick out hygiene items I like to start by thinking about what age box I’m filling, then what would be appropriate for that age. For the younger kids I tend to give them small rounded combs unless I feel that the Lord is lead me to do something different. I also like to go to the dollar tree and pick out the washcloths that expand in water and cute designs on them. That is what I liked when I was younger. That and I had sensory stuff so I didn’t like really soft washcloths. Still don’t.
As for other things you can put deodorant and toothbrush’s in the box’s. But no toothpaste anymore. I can’t remember the reason but toothpaste is no longer aloud in the box’s. That is why I started putting floss in them instead. Ones with plastic handles for the little ones and regular thread ones for the older kids. If that makes any since. 🙂
Hairbrushes, I like to find ones that are sturdy but small for the box’s so that they don’t take up much room in the box. It isn’t always easy find small hair brushes that aren’t the folding travel kind. But when I do I’m really happy. Here is this months picture! 🙂
Hope y’all have fun finding stuff you think a child will love when picking out hygiene items.
